Biography

I have always stitched - from dolls clothes to an early attempt at patchwork - hexagons pieced over paper. I tried many textile and other crafts before coming to quilted textiles.

I completed City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting parts 1&2 at Camberley and Windsor respectively, finishing in 2004. Since then I have also gained a City and Guilds Teaching Adults Certificate, and taught various courses, from beginners to City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting, at Fleet and Odiham Libraries in Hampshire until July 2013.

In June 2013 Hazel Ryder and I launched InStitches Creative Textile Courses, which aims to deliver exciting courses to people who love textiles and quilting, dyeing, stitching and sketchbooks.

I am a member of the Quilters' Guild of the British Isles, editing Southern Star, the newsletter for Region 3 from 2007 to 2010. I am also a member of Contemporary Quilt, SAQA and Diversity and a past member of The Stitch Witches.

My work individually, and with the textile group The Stitch Witches, has been featured in publications including The Quilter, Today's Quilter, Patchwork and Quilting and Popular Patchwork.
