The idea for this quilt came from my love of piecing and the myriad possibilities with a simple half-square triangle unit. The units start off organised into high contrast blocks, but the pattern soon deteriorates as the contrast diminishes and chaos takes over.
This was made for the Stitch Witches' Transitions Challenge - each of the group had a section of the spectrum to work with. The colours orange through to pink via red were great to work with.
Materials: Hand-dyed and commercial batik fabrics.
Method: Machine piecing and free machine quilting.
