West Wittering2012
Runner up in the Guilds' Challenge at the Festival of Quilts 2012, where the theme was Britain. Coming from the West Country, Britain for me is defined by the sea. This quilt was inspired by the row of old groynes at the top of West Wittering beach in West Sussex. Materials: Hand dyed cotton sateen Hand dyed and commercial threads. Method: Wholecloth.
